Hocktoberfest - Nelsonville OH

Mark your calendar for the first annual Hocktoberfest, a weekend of great music, brews, outdoor competitions and family fun at Hocking College in Nelsonville on October 4th and 5th. Come Friday night for the music, when The Farm and Lesley McDaniel perform starting at 6:30pm. Come with the kids on Saturday for a full day of activities including a fishing derby or take part in the 5K trail run through campus. Learn archery from Shawn Michaels and wilderness survival training from Mountain Shepherd Survival School, or just kick back in the beer garden and enjoy the live music. The first annual Hocktoberfest is October 4th and 5th and is presented by Rocky Brands and Hocking College. Entry is free!

Les McDaniel – This Country Music singer, songwriter will be opening for The Farm. Les McDaniel is a fantastic musician, genuine good ‘ol country boy and family man whose music represents the simple life, country living, family and everyday themes that people can relate to.

The Farm – THE FARM is in many ways a hybrid act – a trio deeply rooted in Country Music, that folds in sonic elements from a variety of popular-music genres – but the core is built around a solid, identifiable vocal harmony. They are known for their hit songs “Farm Party” and “Home Sweet Home” You won’t want to miss this FREE extremely entertaining, high energy concert!

Shawn Michaels, the Former World Champion WWE wrestler and host of the MacMillan River Adventures hunting show on the Outdoor Channel. He will be providing a hunter safety demonstration along with his co-host, Keith Mark. There will also be a personal meet and greet autograph session!

Bowtech Archery will have Archery training demonstrations and workshops for novice and seasoned bow hunters to provide tips and lessons on how to master the hunt or hobby.

NHRA Funny Car – Rocky/Don Schumacher Racing Mopar funny car driven by 2011 NHRA Funny Car Champion Matt Hagan will be on display to get an up close and personal view of this magnificent 10,000-horsepower beast
