POSITION SUMMARY:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Sell Company products through participation in Company promotions, customer events, trade shows and the like.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of footwear and apparel products manufactured by the Company.
  • Determine call schedule by reviewing priorities with supervisor.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships by visiting with retail store owners, managers and staff.
  • Identify the product needs of the retail store based on the stores location and demographics.
  • Set-up displays at aisle ends, stock and restock shelves with product from inventory, tidy store shelves; provide optimum display of products.
  • Check on special promotions, removing promotional material at end of promotion period.
  • Observe customer interaction and forward observations to management.
  • Maintain inventory by observing inventory levels; prompting store management to reorder when levels appear low.

 

A well-qualified candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced level of skill in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; Intermediate skill in Excel; Beginner level of experience in Outlook and Explorer.
  • Ability to implement and build displays in stores and at trade shows.
  • Develop and implement project plans from start to finish.
  • Superior communication skills including written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with metric measurements and mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; and the ability to find, interpret and extrapolate relevant information from an extensive variety of research data.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven customer service skills and ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Demonstrated “driven by sale” personality.
