POSITION SUMMARY:

Direct and coordinate program activities designed to provide management and customers with logistics/customs solutions that ensures efficient and economical support concerned for product movement worldwide.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

 

PRODUCTION

Coordinate the production lifecycle from forecast, timeliness of sales order entry, production progress tracking, through to shipping of goods.

Point of contact between headquarters, factories, freight forwarders, and third party logistics (3PL) on Supply Chain/Logistic issues, requirements, and shipment information.

Maintain the Production Calendar as it relates to the company Master Calendar and gather line information from development team to ensure on-time order submission to factories.

Resolve shipping and logistics issues between factories and the freight forwarders.

Maintain change requests to the orders made by customers and internal sales team.

Determine orders to be cross-docked or drop shipped from each factory based on customers’ require ship windows and factories’ delivery schedules.

Receive and review in season and add-buy requests from sales teams and obtain principle approval for subsequent submission to factories.

Notify sales teams and customer of any expected delays to sales orders in a timely manner.

Coordinate with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)/Vendor Compliance team to supply factories with the labels and packing instructions required.

Coordinate with accounting department on timely collection of deposit and/or Letter of Credit finalization related to payment against international shipments.

Prepare LC documents required and present to accounting for negotiation.

Supply accounting with backup documentation needed to reconcile invoices and chargeback disputes.

Oversee requests for repacking supplies from the warehouse or customers such as shoeboxes, laces, etc.

Coordinate sale sample production from season kick off, confirming delivery method and schedule with internal team as well as international customers.

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS

Create inbound & cross dock reporting for 3PL warehouse.

Coordinate all receiving at the 3PL warehouse.

Oversee daily returns from wholesale customers to ensure they are reported by 3PL in a timely manner and processed internally.

Troubleshoot any e-commerce issues with 3PL.

LOGISTICS

Monitor carrier and specific vessels for shipping based on shipment size and shipping costs of each carrier and vessel.

Evaluate Courier statistics for improvement.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from a four-year College or University; or six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Advanced level of skill in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as Government/ Customs Regulations concerning Freight Contracts.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; ability to listen and obtain clarification, respond well to questions, demonstrated group presentation skills, and ability to write clearly and informatively and present numerical data effectively.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, and percentages.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Familiar with the legal requirements regarding importing and exporting.

Strong detail orientation skills with a focus on accuracy.

Ability to effectively handle multiple work assignments and projects.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
