POSITION SUMMARY:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Sort mail according to destination and disseminate accordingly.
  • Return undeliverable mail bearing incomplete or incorrect address to appropriate internal sender.
  • Seal outgoing mail envelopes by hand or machine.
  • Stamp outgoing mail by hand or with postage meter.
  • Fold letters or circulars and insert in envelopes.
  • Distribute and collect mail, UPS and FedEx packages.
  • Weigh mail to determine that postage is correct.
  • Keep record of registered mail, FedEx and UPS packages.
  • Deliver outgoing mail to the US Post Office.
  • Assist in the performance or perform various maintenance, grounds keeping or custodial work as needed.
  • Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading, storing and delivering supplies.
  • Remove snow and cutting grass using various forms of equipment.
  • Gather and remove recycling and trash items.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment.

 

A well-qualified candidate will possess:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two (2) to four (4) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) year of general maintenance experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, routine technical reports and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals; ability to compute percent.
  • A valid Driver’s License and insurability status.
